Rate limits

Each business has a request rate limit configured for its account. When you exceed it, the API returns 429 Too Many Requests with a Retry-After header telling you how long to wait before retrying.

Handling 429
Back off and retry after the number of seconds in Retry-After. Because creation and cancel are idempotent, retrying with the same Idempotency-Key is always safe.

Daily and monthly order caps may also apply to your account; orders beyond a cap are returned as per-order rejects within an otherwise successful batch, so the rest of the batch still goes through.
